Mission 13 Loads their Experiment

On June 27th, the Mission 13 Scientists loaded their experiment and prepped it to go to Houston and NanoRacks. They were on a Skype call with an expert Jacob S. from NanoRacks for an hour making sure that their experiment was loaded correctly. With a little help from their teacher facilitator Jari Stokes to get through some touchy spots - the girls were extremely successful in loading their experiment and prepping it to go into space. (Or into Mr. Whitmore's desk - There are two tubes - one goes into space and one stays on Earth and serves as our control or ground truth experiment).

We are so proud of all the students at John Muir Middle school and are proud to showcase their hard work.

We are excited to take our Mission 12 winners to Washington DC in June/July 2019 to present their findings as scientists at the Smithsonian at the annual SSEP Convention.
